My name is Poofy Brandandt and my human mother purchased
me from a breeder about a year ago. My coat is usually
very long and poofy but I’ve got a skin infection.
Precisely, the name of my infection is ringworm. My
skin was just covered with lesions which were scaly
and caused me to lose hair in those areas. My human
mom got ringworm so that is how she found out what was
wrong with me. I’ve been to the vet three times
for this infection. It really is almost gone now but
it just came back again so we purchased your yummy chicken
delight medication. I was very surprised. It really
tasted good. I was used to horrible tasting medicine.
My mom had to have me shaved to help me get better so
I look like a little lion. This will help get rid o
f the spores that cause my illness. I am a purebred
Persian male kitten and usually have long, luxurious
coat of caramel colored hair. I am very affectionate
and playful.
This summer while up at my mom’s cabin near Grayling,
Michigan I got lost for five days. When she opened the
door, I shot out like a brave little lion going to conquer
the world. There were scary sounds, lots of trees and
a huge lake. I wandered away almost five miles until
finally I was so hungry I finally approached another
human and she took me into her home. Luckily, my mom
had a collar with a phone number on it. I haven’t
ventured out since this incident.
Well, it is now time for y my lazy day cat nap so I
have to close. Have a good day and keep up the good
work. Lots of meows.

Thanks for giving Clyde a decent three years of old
age that he never would have lived but for the fact that
the Cisapride kept him going. While there were down periods
for him, he always made it through, remarkably, He had
a strong will to live and it would not have been possible
without your special work. Clyde was almost 20 yrs old,
and it was time- we both knew on Tuesday, He had a special
evening and he kept up his best front, we said our goodbyes
and on Wednesday morning at 5 am he passed away. I knew
e did not want to go. You helped him stay on as long as
possible.
Thank You for your work Andy Z.

I
picked J. D. (John Doe) up in March of 92 he was living
on the streets. I started feeding him and it took me
about a month to catch him. I had him neutered and found
a home for him. I already had 3 older cats and one young
dog. The people who took him had him for 1 year. They
were moving so they gave him back to me. In that year
he was gone I lost my three cats to old age so I was
very glad to have him back. In Jan 05 he was 13 ½
lbs. He is at 81/2 lbs now. Willowood Vets could not
find what is wrong with him, since taking the made you
made for him. He is doing much better. I took in 2 sick
cats in September and when they were at Willowood you
mad meds for each of them Glock and Leelow are doing
just great now and I think 5 yrs ago you made meds for
my horse spooky (eye meds)
J.D. Is a good cat and loves his brother Nickie. J.D.
Thinks he is a Dog and Nickie thinks he is a cat. They
sleep together and groom each other. At this time we
are fighting to keep them both alive. We don’t
know what we would do without them and the great vet
care they get from Dr. Weett

Dear
Cheryl:
I want to send you a picture of Mimi Baron, My 11 year
old Wire Hair Fox Terrier She is quite a beauty but
has terrible allergies and this is one of the rare pictures
where she had all of her fur and no open sores.
Thanks to the medicine you have made, she has once
again become scab free and her hair is coming in. Her
ears are finally soft inside and she has stopped scratching.
I just started with Dr. Macina at the animal Medical
Center and finally believe that she will stop scratching
for the first time in her life.
I’m happy to know that your company exists. I
can’t swallow pills and haven’t been able
since I was a child to find any pharmacist who will
compound medication. I remember being young in Omaha,
Nebraska and my mother having the pharmacist make my
medications into a liquid or powder. Now one is lucky
if the pharmacist speaks English in New York and is
able to tell you that the medicine can be safely dissolved
or crushed.
Thanks Again.

Dear Cheryl:
Here is a picture of our little dog, Cortez, for whom
you compounded some valium to help control his seizures.
So far, we have only had to use one of them… they
are mostly for an emergency.
Anyway, we are really glad we found you, and I am interested
in the bio-identical hormones you make for people. And
have received some literature from you on those.
I think I am on the list, but just in case I’m
not , can you notify me if you have anther seminar on
those?
Thank You very much!

I
have attached a couple of pictures of Aggie to thank you
for providing her with transdermal medication. I know
Aggie appreciated it. I can not describe how much she
hated pills! We adopted Aggie 9 years ago after someone
threw her out of a car window and crushed both her back
legs. She had several surgeries and was a little “knocked
Kneed:, but she didn’t let that slow her down. Unfortunately,
she had kidney disease and recently, when we could no
longer manage her illness, Aggie had to be euthanized.
We will miss her dearly, however, both her life and ours
was more comfortable in these last months thanks to your
very specialized skill.
Sincerely,
Rob and Amy F.

Dear Cheryl,
I’ve enclosed a picture of Sabrina Gerson my Cocker
Spaniel for your album. Sabrina has been plagued with ear
problems for several years now and I had just about exhausted
my search for finding any ear medication that could help her
problem. Just wanted to let you know that your ear compound
is the only solution that does not seem to irritate her, in
fact she actually stands still so I could put the compound
into each ear. It seems to be working and I’m hopeful
that Sabrina can finally get some relief and God willing won’t
have to have her ear drums removed.
Thank you again for your help.
Sincerely, (Sabrina’s Mom)

Dear Cheryl
I’ve been meaning to send these pictures since first
receiving the papers which came with Bonnie’s first
prescription. The smaller pictures were taken about 10 years
ago when I lived in Lake Orion, Where Bonnie grew up form
the age for 6 weeks. As you can tell like was pretty good
there and in the winter it wasn’t difficult to figure
out where the warmest place was to ensconce her self immediately
upon entering the house from the cold and snow!
For 6 years we lived in a condo, after moving from the house.
Not too happy a kitty. With only one window receiving direct
sunlight she spent most of her afternoons moving around bed
following sunbeams. Now we are in a mobile home and she is
15 years old and very happy to again have a ice deck and yard
to laze around on.
The other kitty in the one picture, curled up to a “fake”
cat is tramp who came to my door nearly 12 years ago. It took
an entire year to convince him to move in. He lived in the
“hood” under porches and what not and I fed him.
He finally got up the courage to face the two cats inside.
TC is now deceased at the ripe old age, as nearly as can be
figured. Of 22 years! He was brown tabby. Bonnie was raised
by him and she “tolerates” Tramp who is a very
sweet, loving fellow.
When I took Bonnie to Dr. Morris for her current condition
diagnosis she had lost 3 pounds, was throwing up, drinking
water ever 5 minutes and peeing it the next. She wanted to
eat all the time and got very whiney and demanding. Thank
heaven for your compounding. It only took a few days for her
to settle down and it is wonderful how she has rallied. A
couple of weeks ago Dr. Morris did another blood test and
it came out Perfect! She has also put on at least one half
a pound and her fur looks and feels wonderful.
You are to be congratulated for the work you do, the courtesy
with which you treat you customers and the speed as which
you get the medicine to us. Almost unheard of these days except
for you. Thank you so much for the work you do. It is extraordinary.
Sincerely
Donna B.

He doesn’t like taking medicine, but he tolerates it.
I am sure that the chicken flavor helps.

Dear
Ms. Dufresne
Back in July, CCC, Inc. created a medication for my kitty Abby,
to treat her ulureated Cornea. This was the second time in 15
months you helped her out with the same problem. The picture
your requested is enclosed except the one is three because I
couldn’t choose. The eye being treated at e the time certainly
shows up.
Thank you for your help. Hopefully it won’t happen
again but if it does I’ll know where to go.

To the nice people from Creative Compounding
Thank you for making jack’s medicine in a way that is
actually a pleasure to give to him! He loves to have his ears
gently stroked so putting his medicine on the inside of his
ears was very easy for me to and quite enjoyable to him. What
a difference from trying to give him a pill which was an absolute
nightmare.

Here
is a picture of Pixie that you requested. She is recovering
nicely but I must confess she has never taken kindly to the
little dab of cream which I put in each ear- even if it is helping
her immensely. By the way, She may not show it, but her left
front paw is a club foot, So she cannot climb. The chair she
is on is a s high as she can reach. And sometimes it takes her
several minutes even before she tries to reach it. Otherwise
she is quite normal (For a cat)

Dear Dufresne's
Enclosed is a picture of Tiffany Mason. You compounded a
thyroid medication for her. Tiffany will be 14 years old this
month. She is a sweet cat and shares her home with her sister
Pumpkin (also 14 this month) and mail cat chester who will
turn 15 in october. She also shares her home with dog Buster
who is 14. She also has two boys and her pet parents that
live with her as well.
Tiffany is a sweet cat, but is very difficult to give pills
or liquid to. The cream is working wonderfully. It's much
more pleasurable for both of us. Thank you for requesting
a picture of her for your photo album.

Thanks for the medicine that arrived today!
Coco seemed to enjoy her 1st dose, which is really great,
considering that it's very hard to syringe unwanted stuff
into a stubborn hedgehog! I was impressed with the packaging
- not only the keep-cool styrofoam, but also the nifty flip
top that makes filling a syringe easy.
I'm sending you a small jpg photo of Coco exploring Mt. Sofa
- she's a dedicated climber and explorer. Yes, that's a finger
in the lower left corner; Coco weighs about 300 grams and
is about the size of a baked potato.

Dear Ms. Dufresne
Enclosed is a photograph of Radar as you requested. As in
most of our pictures of him, he is with his twin sister and
lifetime companion, Marilyn. In this photo, Marilyn, with
her little “beauty spot” like that of her namesake,
is on the left. Radar is as usual, snuggled against her. This
picture was taken in August, 2002, when they were just over
two years old. Marilyn still looks almost the same. Radar
has lost a lot of weight, and is noticeably thinner now. However,
he still has the same handsome little face.
Radar’s condition has limited his diet strictly to timothy
hay and timothy pellets. His system can no longer tolerate
veggies or treats of any kind. Therefore, his meds, with their
fruity flavoring, have become his “treats.” Our
usual procedure is that he gist his “recharge”
(sub-q fluids, and thin lies “baby style” in my
arm to get his meds. As soon as he sees the syringes, he goes
for them, and laps the meds so avidly that he usually chews
through the end of the syringes in a week or so He knows that
he gets three, and after the third one he flips around and
climbs up to snuggle his head against my neck. As I pet him,
he soon begins “tooth purring”, and he will sit
with me that way for a half hour or more if I let him.
He has also become used to the “butt baths” needed
to keep him clean, and is very cooperative for the process,
snuggling with me again as I fluff him dry afterward. I know
that he has some discomfort form his condition, and some days
it’s obvious that he’s not feeling very well.
So it is very rewarding to be able to comfort him enough that
he purrs.
My wife uses the time that he is getting recharged and snuggled
to slip Marilyn her veggies, but we’re trying to get
a good photo of Radar “guzzling” his “raspberry
soda.” If we can, I’ll send a copy along to you.
I know that he has spoiled me, and that other bunnies might
not be so cooperative. However, the fact that he likes his
meds has helped to make that possible. Bunnies are amazing
creatures in many ways. Somehow he has managed to make what
most people would see as a burdensome chore into an immensely
rewarding experience. Of course I wish that this had not happened
to him, but I’m glad that he’s my bunny to care
for. Dr. Stahl said that his condition may shorten his life
span, but I intend to stick by him for as long as he is comfortable
and wants to stay. Thanks, again, for helping to make Radars
life just a little better.
Sincerely
Radar’s Dad

I’m sorry it took so long for me to send you a picture

Dear Cheryl,
I am enclosing a photo of one of your newest patients, "Peggy
H". Creative Compounding came up with a new version of prednisone
after it became apparent that Peggy absolutely hated the first prescription
from our vet. I left as if I was wrestling with her twice a day,
and she was spitting a lot of it out. I tried mixing it with <unknown>,
peanut butter, etc -- nothing worked.
Your version arrived on Wednesday of last week. It smells much
better and she seemed more interested in it. I mixed it with no
sugar added peanut butter and she takes it very well. No more wrestling.
I am extremely glad our vet put me in touch with you.
Thanks very much.

Dear Cheryl,
I just received Marco's zinc compound! I am surprised and very
impressed!
I spoke with you yesterday regarding my re-order and told you I
was surprised the first bottle had gone so fast since after I was
told to expect it to last 2 months. You were very considerate and
seemed surprised, also. You were a pleasure to speak with.
Imagine my shock when I opened the package and received your note
that, though you weren't sure what happened, you had supplied me
with 90 ml's. instead of 60 ml's. I can't get over it! I never imagined
you would send me extra. I did question why it didn't last 2 months,
but mistakes do happen. I am shocked that a business would take
action to correct a mistake -- let alone, make a correction to something
that may not have even been your responsibility! I was not upset,
and certainly hope you didn't think I was. I spend an awful lot
of money on Marco's allergies and am always looking for alternatives
to the expense. But his needs come first!
Marco has severe allergies. What he goes thorough is enough to
break anyone's heart. There isn't anything we wouldn't do for any
one of our 'kids' and we have three. Dr. Mark Macina has been so
helpful and trustworthy. Marco now fly's to his office in New York
because I don't trust anyone else and most other allergists want
to put him on permanent steroids. (No thanks!) His recommendation
of your company is a very high compliment in my book.
I am sitting at my computer shaking my head. I knew there were
no businesses still 'out there' that put the customer first. I was
about to give up on that concept, until I got your package and note!
I knew there were companies that still held integrity and customer
service to high levels. It's simply been years since I ran into
one. (Isn't that sad?) For this, I thank you, sincerely and deeply.
But there's one more thing you should know!
Marco is getting better! The zinc seems to be helping, he's scratching
and tearing his skin alot less. He is sleeping better and has a
better appetite, but what's most important is that he is "Marco."
He's been on medications for a long time, most make him lethargic.
Others take away his personality. The zinc is working -- and I should
know!
So, Cheryl, as long as the zinc compound works (...and he doesn't
form an allergy to it!) your company will have a customer for life!
You have re-instated my trust in business and your zinc compound
has given me my most precious joy back: Marco!
I will never be able to thank you enough!
Very truly yours,
Mrs. Rith H. (Marco's Mom)
P.S. (I have enclosed a photo of our "boys"! "Marco"
is in the center of the group with "Midas" to his right
and "Max" on his left. ...They send "kudo's",
too!...)
Dear
Gerald and Cheryl,
Thank you for providing Spencer (photo enclosed!) with an easier
way to receive his medication. How wonderful that you perform the
special services that your business provides!
Spencer and I are most appreciative of your kind efforts!
Best Wishes,
Spencer and Kim W.

Creative Compounding Center:
Thanks for asking! Here's a photo of "Choe." She's a
seal-point Himalayan, born July 1998. Sadly, she has hyper-glycemia
- kidney stones, kidney failure - and will not eat any of the food
prescribed that might lower her calcium content - too picky! But
she does appreciate her tuna-flavored prednisone from you!! (we
call it "tuna colda")
She does not act ill as present, and is absolutely the sweetest
cat we have ever owned. She also has a brother, "Mocha"
who is in good health.
Thanks for being thing for us-
Sincerely,
Justine M.
Dear Creative Compounding Center,
Please be advised that the new industrial-strength formulation of
your "white gooey stuff" (i.e. Ketoprofen/Tetracaine 20%/2%
PLO GE) as provided for my Arthritis and Bi-Lateral Carpal Tunnel
Syndrome works! However, after a week of severe shoulder pain that
I believe is associated with my diagnosed Fibromyalgia, this morning
I have about 90% relief as a result of a late night application
of "white gooey stuff." I can't put into words how much
I appreciate this wonder agent for topical application where it
hurts.
It is likely that you might work on an osmosis version of 'the stuff'
that when placed under my pillow at night would relieve all of my
other pains as well? If not I'll just be thankful for the Ketoprofen
and perhaps one day I'll be able to purchase it in larger quantities.
Thanks again,
John G.

Dear Jerry:
I wanted to write and tell you how well my cat, Opie, is doing on
the 30 mg. Azithromycin capsules you made for him. First of all,
his neurologic symptoms (head tilt, staggered gait, etc.) have completely
disappeared. He's back to eating, drinking and playing like before
he got sick.
But what I am s-o-o-o pleased about, and the real reason for this
letter, is that for the first time in his life (and in my 30+ year
history of being owned by cats) pill-taking is struggle-free. Before
your capsules, getting Opie or any of my other cats to tolerate
a pill or even liquid medicine was inevitably a struggle which left
neither of us happy. But Opie takes YOUR CAPSULES as calmly as if
I were giving him a treat.
In the morning he likes to jump on my lap while I am at my desk
drinking coffee. Now, when he's on my lap I just get a capsule,
open his mouth, pop it in the back and voila - it gets swallowed
and he continues to purr! Wow - we are BOTH happy campers. Thank
you, thank you, thank you.
Sincerely,
Muriel L.
P.S. Opie is the orange and white tabby. His new little buddy is
Niles.

Hello,
My name is Spooky. I’m not really scary (Oh, maybe to a couple
birds in the neighbor), nor am I afraid of anything.
My folks adopted me almost nineteen years ago. They have taken
excellent care of me and spoiled me rotten. They were so easy to
train.
During my younger years I chased bugs, birds, my shadow, other
cats, just about anything that peaked my curiosity. My Dad nicknamed
me “The Spookinator” as in “Terminator”
‘cause anything I set my sights on, I was dead on it. Never
missed. My Dad (he’s a detective) also suspects I’m
a serial killer, since two other adopted siblings have gone on to
Catnip Heaven. I’m not. I don’t have a dangerous bone
in my body, in fact, I’m just a lazy bones. I love chillin’
in a sunny spot on the sofa or on my favorite chair.
I’ve gotta new half sister, LuLu, she’s a dog. She’s
O.K., however, she must have been a cat in another life, because
she licks and cleans my ears and face real good. I think I’ll
let her stay around.
I love it when my mom rubs behind my ears and strokes my back.
She knows just the right spots to touch. I get absolutely weak when
she talks baby-talk to me. She’s a pretty good cook too. She
always prepares my favorites. I’m especially fond of corn
on the cob (which I like to shuck it myself) and honeydew melon.
I’m not a big fan of milk, but I never turn down a big hunking
spoonful of yogurt. It’s a real treat to chew on a few rose
petals every now and then. But, I’ll never understand why
my mom screams bloody murder whenever I do that? Those arrangements
are so beautiful and tasty. She should be happy. Presentation is
everything.
Well, I just wanted you to know a little something about me, and
also to take this opportunity to say “THANK YOU” for
making such swell tasting medicine. It’s Purfect.
Meow,
Spooky

Dear Creative Compounding:
Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know that since my little
buddy, Sparky, started taking medication prepared by your company,
his thyroid has returned to normal levels. Best of all, it’s
so easy to give him his daily dosage. We’ve never been completely
successful giving him medications in pill form, so the topical ointment
has been a lifesaver – quite literally.
As requested, I’m enclosing a picture of Sparky for your
“family” album. We thank you very much for the work
you do to help pets and people alike.
Very truly yours,
Eileen S.

Dear Cheryl and all the wonderful people at Creative Compound:
This is my darling Fuzzalina – a.k.a. Fuzzy. I cannot express my
gratitude for the miracle you have given us through your God given
talent and genius!
Fuzzalina is herself again: fiesty, spritely and adorable! She
is eating, playing and sleeping smack on top of me just like always!
You are all our angels! Thank you!
All our love,

Dear Staff of Creative Compounding Centers:
I received your request to have a photo of my dog, Jazz, for your
patient photo album; I am more than happy to comply. However, I
would like to share how my “first child” came into our lives and
how we almost lost him.
Jazz was just a puppy when my husband Alan and I walked into the
Michigan Humane Society's Rochester Hills shelter to “just look.”
We had just purchased our first home 3 months prior; I had been
feeling lonely without a dog at home, considering the apartment
we had been in for the past 2 1/2 years didn't allow dogs and my
family had always had dogs. Jazz took one look at us as we entered
the kennel and let out a mournful “hoooowwll” and began wagging
his body. It was an instant connection. My husband snatched the
papers, and 2 days later, my little “first baby” was on his way
to his first home.
Jazz became the toast of the family. He loves everyone, including
the mail lady that he barks vigorously at when she comes to the
door, but is more than willing to kiss when the door opens. He traveled
everywhere with us, including to Old Mackinaw Lighthouse in Mackinaw
City, MI, where he had his picture taken for a national periodical
as “The Lighthouse Dog” (my husband and I participate in lighthouse
restoration, but I digress … ). Later, we added Domino to our family,
and one never goes anywhere without the other.
About a year ago, I noticed Jazz straining to urinate when he was
outside; when he came in, he had blood dripping from his penis.
Alarmed, I called our vet and got him in right away. Dr. Lapplander
happened to be available and figured that it was a bladder infection.
He took an X-ray as a precaution; I will never forget that photo.
Jazz's urethra looked like a candy dispenser; there were about 2
dozen small stones backed up into his bladder. He needed surgery
right away; the stones were lodged too tight to try a catheter.
His bladder was nearly bursting and they had to draw the urine out.
The doctor told me that I got him in just in time.
I really didn't think twice about the cost. I just wanted my Jazz
to be okay. I told Dr. Lapplander to go ahead and I called Alan.
He said we can always borrow the money from his parents. What happened
next shocked and angered me. Alan called me back and said his parents
wouldn't loan us the money because “it's just a dog.” It still bothers
me to this day that such backwoods thinking still exists. Yes, he
is a dog: a living, breathing creature that relies on us for its
every need. How can people turn their backs so callously? In the
end, we managed to scrape together the money for the $1,500 surgery,
but it still hurt that someone would consider his life not worth
saving because he is “just a dog.”
I just want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for
being there to make Jazz's medicine. With your help, he (and I)
may never have to worry about redeveloping stones again.
Yours truly,
Kristen Brophy & Jazz

Dear Folks of Creative Compounding Center-
We (Eddie and I) received the medicine this afternoon, and I will start giving it to Eddie in the morning tomorrow. I hope it helps his ear condition.
Enclosed is a picture of Eddie- I ran out when doing Christmas cards so I made photo copies. He's a Rat Terrier and FULL OF ENERGY but he can be very loving, too. His birthday is May 22 and he'll be 7 years old.
Sincerely,
Michelle Hicks and Eddie.

Thank you for your prompt service, but more importantly, your compassion,
We where truley devistated when we were informed of Corky's condition. Nobody wants to lose a very important part of their family.
Corky turned (11) Eleven on 4-26-06. She's the second in a litter of six. Her brother, Prince is also a member of our family, (he was #1).
Thanks again,
Sincerely,

Dear Jerry & Cheryl & Gang-
I finally have gotten around to printing & sending a picture of Timmy - our naughty little epileptic poochie. He is so cute and smart and i would like to thank you for milking his medicine & giving us a fairly easy delivery system! He HATES the mesda & knows its coming so he runs & hides! He has to take Phenobarb, pills too, and will pocket them & spit them out later if I don't watch. I many times will have to give his meds to him in canned cat food! That ALWAYS works!! He is SO smart, the stinker!
Thanks again & please post his picture if you would like! your helping to extend his precious life!
Warmly, Jane McNerney
Tabitha is delightful. As soon as she sees me coming up the driveway she jumps off her window perch to greet me. Just as soon as I open the door she puts her paw up for me to shake hands hello! Evenings I read before bed, so soon as I change clothes she jumps on the shelf next to my reading chair. I see her peeking around corners to see when I am coming. And just as soon as I sit down she does more antics "bowing" as in photo until I pet her head! Then she rolls over until I pet her tummy! Tabitha keeps us this silly play for an hour! Friends laugh when I tell them but "silly play" completely drains away the day's anxieties & renews me!
Mr. Gerald Dufresne
Thank you for help with Buttercups' hair loss problem. The fur on her tummy has come back, but not as fully as the rest of her coat. She still licks, so maybe you'll be hearing from us in the near future.

Dear Cheryl,
Enclosed is a picture of my dog Duffy, a friendly, affectionate, funny toy poodle with a rock star hairdo. He is an essential and beloved member of my family. Many thanks to you and the staff of CCC for making sure that Duffy got his carefully prepared medication so promptly. When i called CCC it was apparent immediately that you were a reliable and detail oriented outfit; the fact that you request pictures to go with the names of your patients demonstrates that you are thoughtful and compassionate too.
Enjoy the picture. I hope it is one of many inspired contributions already made to your collection.
Again, many thanks for your assistance and kindness.
Sincerely,
Dawn M. Rebecky
My name is Daisy,
Thank you for making my medication.
I'm sorry we had to meet by me being sick, but thank-you for trying to keep me alive. If i was ever to meet you in person, I'd try to lick you to pieces....
Thank-you,
Woofs and Licks and a Tail wagging a mile a minute...
Luv Daisy.

Dear Mr. Dufresne and all the wonderful staff,
I apologize for the delay in sending you a picture of my beloved English bulldog, Bobbie Sue, more often then not called “Cupcake”. I received Cupcake last fall from a friend and fellow Detroit Bulldog Club member. She was 6 years old, had been bred by artificial insemination resulting in 3 Caesarian sections producing 24 puppies! When we’re watching Animal Planet and there’s newborn puppies crying Cupcake will instantly perk up and go looking for what she must think are “her” babies.
Since some cities have a limit on the number of dogs a person may own and Cupcakes’ whelping days were over she was given to me so that her owner could introduce new stock into her breeding program. I had been looking for a bully as company for my other bulldog, Charlie. About 9 months before I received Cupcake I had lost my beloved Phoebe to an aggressive lymphoma at 7 years young. I believe Charlie mourned Phoebe’s death as much if not more than me. Charlie and Phoebe would always snuggle up together and were the best of playmates.
Cupcake was a generous wonderful gift to both Charlie and me. He had a snuggle mate again! Much to Charlie’s disappointment that didn’t happen immediately. Cupcake had come from a home with a dozen bullies and had set herself as the Alpha female. Initially she let Charlie know his place, which he was more than happy to acquiesce as long as he would have snuggling in his future.
Cupcake previously had surgery for bilateral entropion and I though I thought I was keeping up with her dry eyes though frequent irrigations with sterile saline and sterile lubricant. During her yearly health check Dr John Wilson noted some corneal irritation to Cupcake’s eyes. Cyclosporine was prescribed and arrived practically overnight from your caring company. Within 48 hours there was no more thick mucus, no off color discharge and Cupcakes eyes just sparkled with health and mischief! Thank you, thank you, thanks you!
My bullies are my life. I had an accident about 11 years ago that left me with minimal mobility. Six years later I was diagnosed with an aggressive for of MS and my walking days are over. While I know that English bulldogs are not at the top of the intelligence list my Charlie is uncannily in tune to my health. He also is about 6” taller than most bullies, which put him out of the show ring and fortuitously into my home. I try to use a walker while inside and if I am having a particularly bad day Charlie will be at my side and walk step by step with me. If I start to wobble or lose what little balance I have, Charlie will stop and you can see him stiffen up so that should I begin to fall I can cathy myself on him and regain my balance. He is 70 pounds of pure sculpted muscle. He wasn’t professionally trained, he just does this naturally. If I’m having a bit of a “blue day” he’ll go to his bucket of toys and soon I’ll have all of them at my feet. I think it’s his way of trying to cheer me up.
I’m sure this is a little beyond the letter you requested when you sent Cupcake’s Cyclosporine, but when you have 2 talented, exceptional, gorgeous, handsome, bulldog imps like me, well, you can’t blame a bit of a brad now and then.
I am enclosing 3 pictures, be lucky I restrained myself to just 3! Of Cupcake in her paw print sweater this past winter and of Cupcake and Charlie getting close to the beloved snuggle position. But look close, Cupcake isn’t and easy bulldog. She keeps her virtue intact. Note that she has her paw on Charlie’s letting him know that although she has 28 puppies she’s not into any of that funny stuff! She’s keeping his paw right where she wants it. Charlie is happy just to be close to his beloved bully. I am also enclosing a picture of the two of them next to each other. Cupcake can just about walk under Charlie. If she lost a few of her pregnancy pounds I’d expect her to.
Thank you again for all you do for us animal lovers of the world and our wonderful companions. Cupcake’s world has to be much clearer and brighter thanks to your company.
Sincerely,
Jacqueline Peabody
Here is a Picture of our Camille She is now 19 years old! This picture may be a couple of years old but she still looks the same! Along with her newly developed thyroid problem, she has had ceribral palsey her whole life. But she doesn't know it! She is a real trooper! Thanks for the article. You look like a great group.
This is a picture of midnight our mother cat. I believe someone dropped her off. We moved here in November of 1998. I would see her go across the back yard every day, "Very cold & snow covered." I started putting out food for her she was very fearful, would hide in the weeds. It took 2 wks & she started meeting me half way. We believe shes 9 or 10 yrs. old.
We love her very much.

Since the beginning of the year. you'vebeen filling prescriptions for amlodipine "in tuna" for our cat Charcoal. We lost her last week. I would just like to say that you concept of putting meds in a "flavored" liquid made it easier for us & Charcoal to take her "BP med." I think she even liked it!

Dear Creative Compounders:
I am sorry it has taken us a while to forward you a picture of Mikka Marks. The two of us could not decide which picture was the best likeness. We finally agreed on this one.
Thank you for your wonderful customer service. It has not been easy, now that Mikka is 7 years old. Just like us humans, it all seems to fall apart when you least expect it. She and her sister Kaylei are the loves of my life. We all appreciate the fact that you have now become our extended family!
Well Wishes to everyone.
Sincerely Yours.

Jerry & Cheryl,
Hi, my mom said you wanted a picture of me so here it is. And she also said it was for a contest. I'm sure I'll win. Just look at me.
O.K. enough about me. I just wanna say thanks for my eye medicine. I think I can see better or my mom thinks so.
Hope you two have a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. Love, Curly

Hi,
This is Merlin. Merlin has an infection in his gums and it hurts to eat so he has been getting thinner and thinner. We finally figured out the problem and then he just would not take his medicine. Thanks to all of you, we are able to give him his medicine again and look forward to him gaining weight and not looking so sickly! Merlin has one blue eye and one gold eye and works his magic on us every time he cuddles up and snuggles with us. He makes our family feel happy and content. Thank you for being there for us in our time of need.

Hello to the Staff at Creative Compounding,
You requested a photo of our Miss Kitty and we're sending a couple along-one that captures her personality and the other that shows her beauty.
Miss Kitty is the matriarch of the Gaffe cat family. She has been with my husband almost 16 years since he took her in as an abandoned cat with six kittens. We suspect her former family abandoned her when they found out she was pregnant. With the six kittens placed in loving homes, Miss Kitty joined Mr. Big Head and Brandon. She outlived them both and now resided with Guthrue and LuLu, another two abandoned cats we've adopted.
Miss Kitty experienced some breathing problems on Sunday March 18, and after several hours at an emergency animal clinic we learned that she has a mass on her lungs. Fluid was drained during that visit and she was able to spend a peaceful night on Sunday. Monday morning was visited our regular veterinarian and after consultation, decided against surgery given her rather advanced age.
We're hopeful the medication you compounded will give us a little more time with her and the her remaining days will be pain-free.
Miss Kitty was taken in as a little "farm girl" in Perry, Michigan. Since then she has lived in Charlotte, N.C., Royal Oak, MI, eastern Ohio, and now in Rochester, MI. In Perry she read The Farmers' Almanac but her reading taste have evolved and she reads the Wall Street Journal. Her favorite section, as you can see, is the Weekend Edition.
We hope you enjoy the pictures and are delighted that your compounding is making it easier to medicate her.
Cordially,
Ron & Kari Gaffe

To all your wonderful Staff,
It is with much sadness I must inform you that my dear little Bonnie had to be euthanized on February 26, 2007.
She thrived on the thyroid medicine you provided her for almost 3 years, but finally succumbed to kidney failure. She had been treated for the condition for couple of years, and just couldn't respond to treatment this time.
I wish to thank you for your wonderful, expedited service, for creating medicine so much easier to administer, especially for a cat and for your fine phone courtesy. It has been a pleasure to do business with you. I was so grateful the transdermal was available. It was very easy to treat her and definitely extended playing Cleopatra~ She didn't look her age and when she failed, it was rapid. I lived with her nearly 18 years and she is greatly missed.
Thanks Again. Sincerely
Donna Barr

I thought it was ever so nice of you to ask for my picture. It implies you have a personal interest as well as medical in my well being. Having never been asked before I had my friend and caregiver print one for you. You will find it enclosed with this letter of thanks.
My fiends name is Jack Taylor (yes.. same last name as mine. isn’t that precious?) and he has been caring for me since he found me straying, oh, some 16 years ago. As you can see I am at least 16 years old, not as lively as I once was, but perhaps with your medicine and Jack's care I can spend more quality time here with him.
Again, thank you for your request for a picture. The one I enclosed was taken just this past Christmas (before the presents were opened).
Sincerely Yours,
Jake

Hi,
This is the picture of Timothy Tucker Smith that you asked for, for your album. He is a 5-5 1/2 lb. Yorkshire Terrier even though he looks bigger in his picture. He will be three years old August 29, 2007. This is the little guy you recently compounded amttiptyline for. He is allergic to multiple things, including human dander. So far, food allergies are the only thing that has been ruled out. Nothing, up until now, has worked to really keep Timmy comfortable. We are hoping that this new combination of Chlor-Trimeton and amtriptyline will do the trick. He will be a happy pup if and when he is able to quit scratching. He has only been on this combination a short time but, it already looks promising. We'll just keep our fingers crossed!
Dr. Barnes (Timothy's veterinarian) does not, as he says, want to have to pull out what little hair he has left. Timmy has really been a nightmare for him. Yet, he refuses to give up on Timmy. He has even sent us to a boarded vet and, keeps in constant contact with her. So, needless to say, we are all hoping this is the answer, especially Timothy Tucker.
Looking at his picture, Timmy doesn't appear to have any problems at all and, he's hoping someday soon that will be true.
Thanks so much for your help.
Pat Smith and Timmy

Hi,
This is Chelsea Kellogg her photo is enclosed for you.
Here is a little history about Chelsea. We got her from the humane Society about 10 years ago. She was about 1 then. We have enjoyed her company & her personality.
Just recently she was diagnosed with hyperthyroid and now you wonderful people are going to make her better for us.
Thank you very much Linda Kellogg

Cheryl and Jerry:
Thanks to your company, our kittens Gilbert and Rain are healthy for the first time in their young lives! Rescued from the New York City streets, our kittens had a parasite that took several courses of different medications to treat. They were scared of people in general, and even more skittish around strangers forcing terrible tasting medication on them. Finally, our Vet referred us to you.
After happily gulping down your shrimp flavored compound, the kittens are finally were they should be. Rain no longer weights only 3lbs. and both are energetic, happy and playful.
I am enclosing the first photos ever taken of our new additions. We will definitely keep your company in mind as they continue to grow.
Sincerely,

Thank you for the letter and article. I am enclosing a 2006 photo of Chloe and her "big" brother Chingley. They are very attached to each other and we have owned them since 2003 when their chronically ill bedridden owner died. Our youngest daughter saw an ad in our local paper which stated they needed a home. Shortly after they came to lice with us we discovered Chloe had seizures. I've tried changing their diet, even cooking natural chicken, or turkey, organic veggies, but that didn't help. Chlor is a feisty little girl who has to have the last bark.

Dear Cheryl,

Thanks for helping me get better. Love

Good Morning everyone!!
My Umbrella cockatoo Popcorn and I would like to say thank you for the wonderful, and quick, service. Popcorn has recently been diagnosed with epilepsy and she just started taking Phenobarbital to control her seizures. She seems to enjoy the peanut butter flavor that you made for her and has been reacting well *fingers crossed* to the medication so far. Thank you for being so helpful and kind during a stressful time for both of us.
Here is a picture so you can put a face *and beak* with the name
Thanks again

Dear Jerry & Cheryl & Staff
Thank you for the package that you sent me a while back, included with the medication for my cat Patches. Sorry that t took so long to respond to you, but this time of ear as you know things get crazy.
I would like to mention a special thank you to Jennifer, my contact person she was so helpful and made a special effort to get Patches' medication out the next day of which I am very grateful as I had to put him in his cage each day to take to the vet so they could give him his pill.
I am enclosing his picture, he is a 17 year old Tuxedo Cat. We have had him since he was 6 months old and he sure is a part of the family. The medication seems to be working and it is much easier to apply than giving him pills as he is a stinker to give medication to.
He has always been a very good cat, not destructive at all, my husband Peter has built him all sorts of things including the shelf that he is sitting on with the drawer underneath for his toys. He sits on this shelf during the summer watching the birds and squirrels. My husband built a really nice holder for Patches dishes also a holder to put his scratching post in so I don't know who spoils him most. My husband or myself. We live full time in an RV as my husband is a contract engineer so we move around the country, however we have been in Michigan for 14 years. we got Patches in Terre Haute Indiana he belonged to a friend of ours, and she got him when he followed her home as he was a stray. She also had another kitten and a dog, she was only a young girl but loved animals, we were surprised that she gave Patches to us as he was her favorite.
Again I would like to thank you all for our help and wish you all A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy & Prosperous New Year.
Best Wishes
Norma & Patches Mabberly

Dear Helpful People,
Thank you so much for your good work and fast service.
Enclosed are two photo copies of my “Goldie.” She is doing very well and playing cat and mouse with me when it’s time for medicine.
I really enjoyed your enclosed info and pictures so I can relate to you too.
Sincerely Margaret Poucher

Dear CCC,
Here are some pictures of Malarkey. He is 16 1/2 and is very happy that I don't have to give him a pill twice a day.
Thanks, too, for your very fast service. We received the package on Friday!

Hello,
I'm Charlie, I'm 3 years old, and I'm a rescue cat. For the last year I have had this urinary tract problem that we
can't seem to get rid of. My owners have tried all kinds of medications & fluid treatments to help make me better.
But the best thing is that my owners are very patient and they haven't given up on me.
They are doing everything possible to help me through this. I couldn't have found a more patient loving home...
Love,
Charlie

Dear Owners & Staff - Creative Compounding Center,
Thank you for asking for a picture of our dog "Red Dog". I am always very happy to talk about and show pictures of my companions.
I am enclosing two pictures as Red Dog is both a champion and an agility dog and I wanted you to see all sides of him. As you can see, these pictures were taken when he was only 5 yrs. old (he turned 11 yrs. last November). Although he is still a high energy dog and his appetite remains good, his body is battling cancer and I feel that it is important that you picture him in a time of vibrant health. I feel that when you do, it will also send positive, healthy thoughts his way which are bound to help him in his fight with this disease.
He was delightful to show and my husband enjoyed many agility trials with him. He has given us some beautiful puppies who have also made their mark in the show and agility arenas - not to mention the wonderful pet puppies that families are enjoying. From the day he was born, it seems, he has made us laugh and he still maintains the ability to do that to this day. We are hopeful that he will choose to stay with us a while yet but when he chooses to leave us, he will ceratinly have left his footprints in our hearts.
Thank you for your service of compounding these medications.
Sincerely Sharry Boyers

Hi!
Here are a couple of photos of our cat, Scotty, who is currently receiving medication for an elevated thyroid. He's gained a lot of weight and is doing great!
Thanks for all that you do for sick pets!

Hi,
This is Joey Goldberg asleep in his favorite feather blanket. Joey is very special to us, he was a very sick kitten and as a result he is blind. He is a very important memeber of our family and thanks to your wonderful company he can get the medication that he needs.
Thank you for everything

Sorry this took so long to send. Cinder's seizures are finally further apart. We are now working on 50 days...no seizures. Thanks for making her meds. She is something special.

Thank you for asking for a photograph of our companion Blaze. Blaze is a 12 year old Chow, who in her younger years was a champion at show.
