Compounded Products
We specialize in making prescriptions for all kinds of patients. Different patients, whether human or animal, have different needs. We can create individual doses and transform tablets and capsules into a liquid form for the patient who has trouble swallowing pills. The liquid medication can also be flavored with one or more than 150 different flavors, such as cotton candy, strawberry, or grape.
Other medications can be changed into topical rather than oral dosages, such as ibuprofen made into a cream for arthritis. You can apply it to the area in pain instead of taking it and getting an upset stomach.
For children, we make rapid-dissolve tablets, or a lollipop or gummy bears with the medication in it. For patients with allergies, we can create prescriptions that use different fillers and can be dye and preservative free based on the patient's need.
We specialize in pet prescriptions. Dogs, cats, and larger animals use human medications, but in different dosages. Animal medications are made in capsule, topical, or liquid form and we can flavor the liquids with delicious "animal" flavors.

Mr. Gerald DeFresne, RPH, founder of Creative Compounding Center, passed away on April 26, 2008. He graduated from Wayne State University in 1966. His pharmacist career began at Cunningham Drugs in Detroit. He worked at independent pharmacies and pharmacies he had purchased between 1980 and 1999. Loving compounding, he and his wife Cheryl opened Creative Compounding Center in Lapeer, Michigan in 1999. They moved their business to Imlay City in 2004 and built a state of the art compounding lab when they outgrew their building in Lapeer.
